Budget deficit political theater

The National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform, the group headed by Erskine Bowles and Alan Simpson, rejected its own budget deficit proposal. Actually, eleven of the 18 members of the commission voted in favor of their proposal. However, someone had decided that 14 members needed to vote in favor of the proposal before Congress would consider it.

It doesn’t get any sillier than this.

Obama must have wanted this commission to fail. And it did. But I guess our government wanted to show East Asia that they “tried” to solve our budgetary problems.

Trash till the end.
